Trellidor are manufacturers of the leading brand of expandable security gates in South Africa. They needed an upgrade to their site, and they wanted to extend what the site could do for the brand. Our contact at Trellidor understood that we needed to address Trellidor's main audiences on the website, rather than just present the company information. The result is a site that caters for prospective and existing customers, and enters into the discussion on security in South Africa in general.

Competing for "Trellidor" on Google

Google is a competitive marketplace, and security is an equally competitive market. We saw this first-hand when we developed a Google AdWords campaign for Trellidor. Trellidor's competitors took out ads directly on searches for "Trellidor", with the hope of redirecting web traffic. In the AdWords campaign we've targeted keywords in a similar way but, more importantly, the new website is structured correctly, and has really great content, which is going to pull far more traffic than those competitors could hope to redirect. Find out more on why SEO is important, but content is king.

Good copy

Trellidor has a long-term copywriter who worked on the website copy. This has proved invaluable as the site now has a large variety of content covering all aspects of home security, ranging from Trellidor Product info, to a checklist for going on Holiday. 

Flash: Can be useful

We've created 2 very specific areas to use Flash on the site - and we've been careful to use it where it is going to help users to get information, rather than slow them down. For example, on the store locator pages, a Flash map works in conjuction with normal drop-down lists - using the Flash map saves a click if you chose to use it.
