Energy and Combustion Services (ECS) uses technology to help large industrial companies manage their energy & emissions management. For example, they have developed a dashboard for mine-managers to monitor road conditions on the mine roads. It is pretty awesome stuff. Their website is fairly straightforward by comparison as it needs to primarily give information about the various services that ECS offers.

Phased content management

Our client liked the idea of being able to develop content for the site in phases - they just didn't have time up front to write and prepare content for all the pages planned on the site. Our copywriter worked with them to develop content for single pages for each service, with the aim of splitting and expanding the content in subsequent phases. Our web content management system is ideally suited to this, as it allows page creation as well as editing of content on existing pages.

Look & Feel - Hi-tech, but clean

With the type of services that ECS offers, we needed to go hi-tech, but with a clean, simple feel. We've used a completely open layout (where the elements float above the background) and we brought through the light blue and green colours from the ECS logo. The resulting mix of animation, open space, simple navigation and highlight colours gives a look that fits perfectly with ECS's needs.
